How to Clean Your Luggage

Scratches and scuff marks are a badge of honor. After all, you wouldn't be a real world traveler without some battle scars on your luggage!

However, baggage handlers are not kind to your cases, and some dirt and grease marks are worth cleaning up from time to time. Fortunately, Roam cases are incredibly easy to clean if you want to remove black grease from airport carousels or sticker residue.

If your Roam case was purchased before February 2024, the cleaning process is slightly different. You can tell if you have an older case if the Roam logo is on the bottom right corner of the suitcase rather than on a metal plate on the top.

For older models, we recommend you use Easy-Off FUME-FREE Oven Cleaner.  It is very important that you use only the FUME-FREE product, as the original Easy-Off Oven Cleaner is much harsher, it requires gloves, and it will likely damage the polycarbonate shell.  The FUME-FREE product comes in a bright blue can, and is clearly marked “FUME-FREE.".

  1. Spray the foam onto any scuff marks on your luggage.
  2. Wait 1 minute.
  3. Wipe off the foam with a wet sponge, cloth or paper towel.
  4. Dry off the area with a paper towel.
