I loved using this luggage
I've formerly used soft sided luggage but have found it quick to damage as well as ungainly when full. I researched quite a few brands of hard-sided luggage before purchasing Roam. Roam promised the greatest capacity for the lightest weight- this was appealing as I am not a particularly light packer but also am anxious about being able to manage my own bag. The customization aspect was also appealing. In the end, I was deciding between Roam and Arlo Skye but the Roam max capacity check in far exceeds the capacity of the largest Arlo Skye bag.
I was thrilled with the look of the luggage the moment it arrived but I wanted to wait to write my review until I'd used the bag. It was a delight to use. the internal components are simple but extremely functional and easy to use. I egregiously overpacked for a Christmas trip to Paris- bulky coats, boots, handbags- everything I wanted to bring fit with ease. Additionally, the suitcase was incredibly easy for me to handle. It rolls quietly, smoothly, and with incredible ease. The handles are sturdy and I didn't stress about the force I used when lifting into car trunks, baggage claim carousels, or up and down stairs. I did not go with a particularly unique or loud color combo (Black and Tan) but even still, it was incredibly easy to spot on the luggage carousel.
I plan to purchase the Jaunt to match my max capacity :)
